SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Business Journal today announced that Finch, Thornton & Baird, LLP firm partner Andrea Petray, Esq. was named to its list of Women of Influence in Law 2021 honorees. Andrea joined over 100 other distinguished women attorneys in San Diego County in being recognized. See the entire list here.
Her nomination was the easy part.
In California’s highly charged and often litigious construction law sector, Andrea L. Petray, Esq. is a name to remember — and a force to be reckoned with. A pragmatic, results-oriented litigator and business advisor, Andrea works with company owners, presidents and CEOs, vice presidents of operations, and in-house counsel. Her considerable construction litigation experience includes public and private works collections; delay, extra work, disruption and impact claims; surety bond claims; course-of-performance strategies; and construction contracts review and negotiation. Her expertise in statutory collection remedies for public and private works is superlative and the focus of her legal practice. Clients include general and design-build contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, sureties, and high-value homeowners.
Outside the law firm, Andrea Petray generously shares her influence and love for the San Diego community by giving back. Andrea currently serves as Board Chair of the San Diego Habitat for Humanity where she can be found leading, fund raising, and even rolling up her sleeves on local H4H construction sites several times a year. Andrea is also a passionate volunteer for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, San Diego Chapter, where she has spoken about her own challenges in learning to cope with this chronic disease.
