Prime Contractor Prevails Versus Department of Veterans Affairs

The firm represented the prime contractor on a project owned by the Department of Veterans Affairs (“VA”).  The project was plagued with delays, design errors, and management failures by the VA.  As a result, the contractor incurred significant costs which the VA refused to pay.  In addition, the VA continued to assert baseless “punch list claims” after having occupied the facility for over a year.

Firm prevails at mediation.

The firm represented the contractor at a mediation administered through the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals.  The matter settled at mediation with a substantial payment to the firm’s client and a release by the VA of any potential defect and warranty claims.
