Finch, Thornton & Baird Ranked #15 among Top 50 Construction Law Firms Nationally. #1 California Based.

SAN DIEGO — The California construction industry law firm of Finch, Thornton & Baird, LLP is proud to announce that it has been named to the list of Top 50 Construction Law Firms® by Construction Executive (CE), an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) publication.  With 100 percent of the firm’s attorneys working across eleven construction law sub-practice areas, Finch, Thornton & Baird is the largest of only two California construction law firms to be accorded this recognition.  The firm is ranked #15 among the Top 50 Construction Law Firms listed across the United States.

In determining its inaugural list of Top 50 Construction Law Firms, Construction Executive reached out to hundreds of law firms throughout the United States with a dedicated construction practice to find out who the leaders are, and what legal issues are keeping them busy.  Data collected that resulted in the Top 50 rankings included 2017 and 2018 revenue from the firm’s construction practice; the percentage of total firm revenues derived from its construction practice; the number of attorneys in the firm’s construction practice; the number of states in which the firm is licensed to practice; and the year in which the construction practice was established.

The construction law practice at Finch, Thornton & Baird is as comprehensive as it is technically skilled.  Firm attorneys have experience working with clients throughout each phase of the industry — from early-stage financing, development, and design through to implementation, construction, and project close-out.

Ranked #1 of California-based construction law firms.

“Our #15 ranking — #1 of California-based construction law firms listed — is a tribute to our entire legal team and staff and our collective dedication to our clients,” said firm partner, Jeffrey B. Baird.  “This firm was built to serve the legal and business needs of contractors,” Baird went on to say.  “The depth of our construction knowledge and industry experience is extraordinary.  Having our entire legal team focused on construction law matters makes this firm well prepared to handle any legal issue confronting construction companies today.”
