Finch, Thornton & Baird, LLP Welcomes In 2018 With Five New Attorneys

The California construction industry law firm of Finch, Thornton & Baird, LLP added five attorneys to its growing ranks in Q4 2017. The new additions include Rishi S. Bhatt, Patrick W. McManus, James J. Astuno Jr., Jennifer J. Griffin, and Scott P. Leimgruber.

Attorney Rishi S. Bhatt practices general business and commercial transactions, and litigation, as well as in areas of construction law including federal contractor disputes, procurement protests, and contract negotiation. Mr. Bhatt received his juris doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, from which he graduated cum laude. He received his Bachelor of the Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Attorney Patrick W. McManus practices construction law, business and commercial litigation, real estate, and government and regulatory law. Patrick received his juris doctor from California Western School of Law, from which he graduated magna cum laude. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Seton Hall University, where he also served as chapter president of Phi Kappa Theta.

Attorney James J. Astuno Jr. practices in the areas of business/commercial litigation and construction law. Mr. Astuno received his juris doctor from the Pepperdine University School of Law, from which he graduated cum laude. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Denver. Prior to joining Finch, Thornton & Baird, Mr. Astuno served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Intelligence Officer including overseas tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, and continues his military service today as a Major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Attorney Jennifer J. Griffin practices construction law, business and commercial litigation, and government and regulatory law. Mrs. Griffin received her juris doctor with honors and was a member of the Order of the Coif from the UC Davis School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Science in U.S. Environmental Policy and Management from the University of California, Berkeley.

Attorney Scott P. Leimgruber practices construction law, including claims, course-of-performance strategy, contract requirements, and construction-related transactions. He arrived at Finch, Thornton & Baird with considerable construction industry experience having held project management positions with a global construction company for nine years and worked as a legal intern at one of the nation’s leading construction companies. Mr. Leimgruber received his juris doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, from which he graduated cum laude. He received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Washington.
